Following ten years of full-time, rigorous conservatory training, Beste Toparlak completed her Master’s Degree at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, where she studied with the world-renowned soloist and former Vienna Philharmonic principal harpist, Xavier de Maistre. This formative period refined her French technique and artistry to the highest international orchestral standards.
She later earned an Artist Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, studying with the legendary Susann McDonald. Alongside her elite performance training, she also focused on Harp Pedagogy, integrating the McDonald school’s technical brilliance into her own teaching method. Today, she brings this immense stage experience and technical lineage to her students, focusing on tonal richness and professional performance standards.
